Which card should I open next? Card picker

Answer 5 quick questions and see the cards you likely qualify for, ranked by how close each card's sign-up bonus is today to its all-time high. Built from the same data as the rest of the site (50 cards, offers checked October 26, 2026), with the same issuer rules as our eligibility checker.

Your answers

1. Personal or business card?

Include authorized-user cards. Chase usually denies at 5 or more (Chase 5/24, widely reported, not officially published).

Only spending you'd do anyway (groceries, gas, bills) and can pay in full.

4. Points/miles or cash back?
5. Which issuers do you already have cards with?

Tick an issuer, then tick the cards you have now or had before. Those cards are left out, since many bonuses are once per lifetime or once every few years.

How the picker works

  1. Match your answers. Personal or business, and points or cash back.
  2. Apply the issuer rules. The same per-card checks as the eligibility checker: Chase 5/24 from your answer to question 2, Amex once-per-lifetime and other "have or had" rules for the cards you ticked, plus caveats such as BofA 2/3/4 and Capital One's business-card language. See all issuer rules.
  3. Check the minimum spend against what you can put on a card, at the same monthly pace over the card's bonus window.
  4. Rank by % of record: today's bonus as a share of the card's tracked all-time high. Cards with no verified history, or past offers of a different type, are listed separately rather than guessed.

Every number comes from the offer and record shown on each card page. Amex offers say "as high as" and can be lower for you.

Share your results: after you press the button, the page address holds your answers (no personal details, just the 5 answers), so you can bookmark it or send it to someone. Use "Copy a link to these results" under the list.

Frequently asked questions

How does the card picker choose a card?

It drops cards that don't match your answers (personal or business, points or cash back), cards you already have or had, cards an issuer rule would likely block (using the same checks as our eligibility checker, such as Chase 5/24), and cards whose minimum spend is more than you said you can put on a card. It then ranks the rest by how close today's sign-up bonus is to that card's all-time high.

Why rank by percent of the all-time high?

A card at 100% of its record is offering as much as we've ever tracked, so applying now captures the best known bonus. A card at 60% has been much higher before, so waiting may pay off. It's a timing signal, not a judgment of which card fits your spending best.

Does the picker count business cards toward Chase 5/24?

The 5/24 question asks for personal cards you've opened at any bank in the last 24 months, which is what the widely reported rule counts. Chase business cards are still subject to 5/24 when you apply, so at 5 or more the picker leaves out Chase business cards too.

How is the minimum spend compared with my budget?

You enter what you can put on a card in 3 months from spending you'd do anyway. For bonus windows longer or shorter than 3 months we assume the same pace (for example, 6 months = twice your 3-month amount). If an offer has tiers, the picker checks the first tier, which is what earns the first part of the bonus.

Is my information sent anywhere?

No. The picker runs entirely in your browser. There's no signup, and your answers aren't sent to us or anyone else.
